Striptease and Shredding

So today I explored the excercise videos that are available on my cables on demand section. I did two of the Carmen Electras Striptease's and then Jillian Michaels The Shred.

LOVED the striptease, they actually got me sweating (although I did the one twice). They were also fun and I feel like I've learned moves I could even use in the club. ha The Shred was also okay. I had high expectations though because all the girls on the knot said it kicked their ass but I just felt like it was a normal workout. I'm not saying it was easy, but normal. I'll probably continue to do both on top of my normal three days a week weightlifting and eliptical routine.

Since I never updated from my last post, I might as well now. I'm down to 133! Can you believe that?! 133! I was almost at 155 when I first weighed myself back in May! I know thats almost a year away but I've come along way! I'm at my ideal weight now, I'm just trying to tone everything, expecially those abs and inner thighs. I have one of those pooches right below my belly button and I want it gone before my Hawaii trip.

Bubbles

I finally finished the bubble baskets! I started these forever ago, when we had the old house but now they are done and have already been shipped back to Pennsylvania. I only put a ribbon on a couple of bubbles to see how they would look, they turned out pretty good. The rest I just will have Jerry's mom do, I didn't want the bows to look funny after being shipped and tossed around.

This is what the baskets look like. I just ordered heart charms and then picked up some charms from Michaels that said things like 'faith', 'hope', etc. on them and strung them on there alternatingly. I even put bows on some of the charms, not all though because I didn't want it to look too crowded, just enough.

Flowergirl and Ringbearer? Not to long ago I made these cute little cards for my cousins. I had originally only wanted to make a will you be our flowergirl card but since they're brother and sister, I couldn't send a card to one and not the other.

Attached to the ringbearer card is two rings that I picked up at Michaels to kind of relate to the role since I couldn't think of anything else to do for his. In the tulle is a couple of peanut butter cups and starbursts (they were the only small candies at Michaels that were wrapped!) ha. I didn't think about them being so young and probably not being able to eat starbursts but hopefully their mom got too!

Goodbye, Hello

At the beginning of the month Jerry and I packed up our house and moved to an apartment, hence my absence lately. We got an offer early February, after six months of waiting. It was good news because it meant we're going to save tons of money, rent is half the cost, but sort of sad becuase we redid the whole thing so it was exactly how we wanted and now we're gone. We just put the hardwood floors in last March so we only got to enjoy it for one year.

I really didn't want to sell, but I knew we had to. We're much closer to school now, so close we can ride our bikes which saves tons on gas. Also, with three bedrooms, two living rooms and two baths it was definately too big for us, it was just nice that it was all set up. In a couple of years when we start a family I think I'll regret selling it, but oh well its done with now. We found a new apartment at the end of the month so on March 1st we moved on out. We're in our new place now and its alright, much smaller though-I didn't realize how much stuff we had!

We're adjusting though, everythings finally put away so we can relax. I can also get back to wedding planning now too!

Today I had my first every brazillian wax. And yes, I will be going back for more. I'm in love, to say the least :)

I thought it was going to be SUPER akward, I went in overly nervous yet super anxious. My esthitician was great though. She talked to me like we had been best friends for years and that everything was normal. She even told me that she gets her rear waxed all the time, little did I know that I would be getting mine waxed shortly too! ha Overall it was a great experiance and I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. B-Pics are Saturday and although I doubt I'll go entirely nude I wanted to be prepared just incase!

Since we received our income taxes back last week I decided I should finish paying off the honeymoon. I sent payments to both ladies for the condos we'll be staying in so we officially have a place to stay the whole time we're there.

We're renting two condos, one in town for the first five days and then one out of town the last five days. The first lady called to tell me that they lowered the rates by $25 per night so I get a credit and then the second lady called to tell me that if we wanted to stay one extra night for free then we could! Luckily I picked these awesome condos.

I also set aside the money for the plane tickets. Right now they're going for $600 per person but I'm hoping to get them for $500 so I plan on waiting just a little bit longer. Its getting so close, get excited!!

Some of you may remember my last post about finding a florist. We 'interviewed' five and of those it was sooo easy to choose just one. Two of the five still have not responded with their quote. One of them was a crazy lady who I didn't plan on using anyways so thats okay but the other one was a possibility. I called to see if they had my quote done yet and I was told that the lady I spoke to (who also owned the place) had sold the business. The new owner was supposed to call me within 1-2 weeks with my quote, they still haven't. Needless to say we wont be using them. We also got a quote from CRosiez, but I didn't really care for her and her prices were way to high.

That narrowed it down to two, Girtons and Virg Anne's. Both shops were wonderful and the ladies I met with at each actually owned the place and did the wedding flowers which was a plus. In the end it came down to cost. Girtons was cheaper, although not by much, and they were closer to my venue (I dont want my flowers to dye!) so we're going with them!

My mother in law sent the deposit in and I received an email from then on Tuesday saying they had received it so we're officially booked. This was our last vendor to choose so now we've got everything we'll need for the big day. (I'm thinking I may want a videographer though, but haven't brought that up to my poppa yet so we'll see, If we do then I guess we'll have one more to book).

Outfit #1

I've been putting some thought in what I want to wear for my B-Pics. My photographer said I could pick 3-4 so I'm trying to think of some creative ideas that relate to who I am. I've been trying to cook lately especially home made things like bread, bisquits and cakes. Becuase of this I've decided my first outfit will include an apron! I have done TONS of searching online, I have probably looked at about 100 if not more aprons and have finally chosen one.

I ordered it from Bed Bath and Beyone for $30 including shipping. I dont necessarily like how there's cherry's on it, but I love the shape of the bottom and how there is two pockets on the front. A lot of the ones I found only had one pocket, or if they did have too they just weren't that sexy shape.

And what will I be wearing underneath? Well..a bra and pair of panties of course! I was going to do red but I dont have red and really didn't want to spend anymore money so I'm thinking I'll just wear black. I was thinking I could also wear a pair of stalkings with it, but I think I'll save those for another outfit. This one will just be simple and cute.

I love the fact that it hides my tummy though, I'm nervous about showing that off. I'm getting sooo excited!

Cake Topper

Now that I've received my income taxes back I feel like I'm in full wedding planning mode. I have ordered tons of things and can't wait for them all to get here. Two things I ordered recently and received were cake toppers. I coudn't decide between the two so I just had to order both. Now that they're here I still dont know. These are my choices.

I like both of them for different reasons. The first one I love because they look more like us-hair color wise, ha and I love the dress the woman has on. Jerry thinks they slightly look like they're chinese though which is the bad thing.

This second one I like because she's pinching his butt and thats sooo us. BUT I feel like they look sort of distorted since they're so tall and skinny.

We'll probably end up going with the first one. I can't wait to see how it looks on the cake!

Spanx power panties and higher power panties! Christine, my seamstress, recommended I buy a pair so my legs don't sweat during the wedding. I went into Nordstroms to pick some up but what do you know, they were out of both in my size so they had to mail them to me. I wish I would have seen them in the store because I dont know if I would have bought the higher ones. They have a seam down the front so if I do want to wear them with anything I think it would be highly noticeable. They're returnable though so I may be sending them back.

I also got to thinking, since I'll now have a corset back with possiby no privacy panel that I may not be able to wear even the regular height panties since they go up to almost your bellybutton! I'm going to keep them either way, but we'll see at my next fitting if you can tell I'm wearing them or not.

More dresses!

My grandmother went shopping last weekend and picked up these dresses for my cousins to wear at the wedding. They're twins and both will be holding baskets of bubbles at the ceremony so they'll also be wearing the same dress. Gramms went for green, good choice because I needed to incorporate this color in more! My younger brother who is the same age as the twins will be standing with them passing out programs, but he'll be in a tux. They're going to look so good together!

I went for my first dress fitting yesterday! I met with Cathrine Hoyt of CH Studios. She was a very nice seamstress that works from her home down in Denver. I first met with this woman from The Wedding Seamstress down in Arvada but athough her price was better she just wasn't the girl for me.

Here is a picture of me in the dress back in November. They didn't have a 6 in at this store so I had to try on the 4 so you can see its a little tight/weird fitting. Either way though you can see I have absolutely no chest :( So the first thing that will go into the dress are bra cups. We put one pair in and it still looked bad, so she tried a second...ha and it still didn't look as good as it should so she recommended I buy those plastic sticy boobs to stick right underneath my real ones to push them up! I'm sooo helpless. Bra cups $20.

I'll also be getting the sides taken in a half inch on each one. I cant fit in the 4 but a 6 is too big..figures. Sides are $55.00

The dress also comes with straps which I have to have removed at $15.00.

One of the good things is that I dont need a hem. Which leads to a bad thing..I had wanted to get these shoes with 4" heels, and I was sooo tempted to buy them yesterday for the fitting. Good thing I waited because if I wear that high of a heal my dress will be too short. I put a pair of 3" heals on with the dress at the fitting yesterday and the dress didn't even touch the ground in the front. It wasn't super noticable but any higher and you'd see a whole gap under my dress ha, not cool. Which sucks because now I have to find another pair of shoes :(

Here is the back of the dress. I love it, but I'm going to love my new corset back even more! As of right now I'm going to go bare back with no privacy panel, but I'll see how it looks at my next fitting and decide if I need one (it might look to scandalous and I dont want to look like a ho at my wedding..ha). The best part-a whole new back to a dress for only $100.00

The last thing my dress needs is a bustle! I've decided to go with a three point under bustle. It begins just right below the beading on the back going and looks gorgous, I can't wait to take a picture of it! 3 point bustle-$30.00

For a total of $220. My next fitting is April 6th. Woot woot, can't wait!

Lots and Lots of Lights

22 boxes to be exact. Just enough to go around the perimiter of the 45x100 foot pavillion, thats 290 feet of lights. Crazy! They were originally $9.99 per box but they were half off right after the holidays..hell yeah!

I still need a couple strands to put under the linens around the cake table and I also have to decide if I'm going to have lights for the head table set up. Better jump on it because I dont know where I'm going to get them from if I wait much longer!

Dress shopping with mom!

Let me just give you a short little history about my mom and I. We dont get along, ever. Most of the time when we're together we fight, its like we're both stubborn and have to get our own ways and we just clash. Well I moved out of her house to live with my dad when I was a young teen so we've never been close. Everytime we're together now its like we both walk on ice trying to be nice to each other, its weird.

She kept trying to try on strapless dresses, something which I said was a no from the beginning. It was like she wanted to be young again, and she's not. In fact, most of the dresses she tried on that she liked (and I didn't) were bridesmaid dresses! I know MOB dresses can be old, but they dont have to be.

Then she tried on this strapless dress that looked almost EXACTLY like the bridesmaid dresses we've narrowed it down too. It was strapless and pulled to the side with some sparkles on it. Even after she put it on and I said it looked way to similar she continued to talk about how she wanted it. Even that night once we were home she kept saying she wanted to go back and get it. I will cry if she does and not let her come to my wedding. ha I didn't post pictures of that one though becuase as I said, its a no.

Anyways, heres the dresses I've narrowed it down to..she only likes 1 of these though. The burgandy spaghetti strap one is the only one she likes out of the four, and its the only one I dont like out of the four! ha Figures huh? I had to include it though because it was the best looking 'young' dress on her. I still think it shows some pudge right in the middle tummy which is mainly why I dont like it, but I also dont like the fact that its spaghetti strap (although I'm willing to deal with it for her).

We've hit the 6 month mark! Remember this post? Yep, my first one back in April! We got engaged on January 23rd of 07! Its been two years already and we've now hit the six month mark..I. Can. Not. Wait.

Bridesmaid Dresses

One of the last things I did while home for Christmas was look for bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses. I went with my maid of honor first and we narrowed it down to two choices. Either of which will be in yellow.

This first one is by Alexia but I can't find it online. The only problem is it either comes in too light or too bright of a color. The price is right around $200 I think.

This second one is Davids Bridal style F12385. I like how similar it is to mine but I'm not sure I like it as much as the one above. The color for this one would be the perfect shade of yellow though.

My MOH honostly doesn't care which one we get. I emailed this to Jerry's sister Donna, who is also a brisemaid to see what her opinion was on them. I'm guessing whichever one she likes best we'll go with. Which one do you like better?

Flowers

Although we don't know who will be designing our flower arrangements for our wedding we do know what type of flowers we want.

The flowers we will be using are lillies, roses, alstroemeria, stephanotis and babys breath.

The Ceremony:

We will have chair arrangements almost exactly like these. All the greenery will be there but lillies and roses will be added.

I love the bouquet below! My Bouquet will have the same fullness and be the same size as that one, only the flowers will change to what we're using. My girls will be about half this size and contain everything but stephanotis. Mine will also have more yellows where as theirs will have more whites.

The Bout's will be either alstroemeria or roses, although I'm aiming more towards the alstroemeria. My grooms will have some stephanotis in it to match mine though :) The mothers corsages and fathers bouts will also either be alstroemeria or roses with stephanotis and the grandparents will be the same minus the stephanotis.

We'll also be lining petals down the aisle runner to add to the day. Since our ceremony is outside I want to bring in as much color as possible.

The Reception:

Since we're having the reception outside in a pavillion I plan on covering the posts that hold it up with tulle and a bouquet of flowers like the picture below. In all we'll need 21 bouquets to do every post but I don't care, this is a MUST have. The cieling is flat in the pavillion though so nothing will go on it :(

Centerpieces are the only thing I'm still undecided about. I basically told the florists they could do whatever they thought looked best for these. They will be full like the picture below but in smaller vases so they're not so high. They will be made up of yellow and green flowers and have very little greenery.

There will also be some arrangements for the memory table, guestbook table, etc. but they will just resemble the centerpieces with some minor changes. In all I'm hoping not to spend more than $2,000 for everything, I can't wait to get our quotes back!

Florists

Another thing we did while we were back was meet with a couple of florists. Out of five florists we've only gotten one quote back so far so we haven't decided on anything yet.

First we met with Sue from Girtons Flowers in Jamestown, Ny. She had some great additions to what I wanted but I'm scared to get her quote back, they seemed kind of like an expensive place. I hope the price is on the lower end though because I really liked her!

Then we met with Anita from CRosiez who is also in Jamestown. She made me nervous because she wanted to design every little thing right then and there. She was more of the business end of the shop so she wanted to get everything right for her designer she said. I hope her quote is super high so I can feel good about eliminating her right away.

Next we met with a woman, whom I forget her name, from Virg-Ann Flower Shop in Warren, PA. She gave us a quote of around $1500 for everything including delivery and set up. I took pictures with me to every shop but hers because I forgot to print an extra set out. I thought her price was kind of cheap so I'm not sure she realizes how full I want my bouquets and centerpieces to be so if I think about going with her I'll have to email her a couple more pictures to make sure the quote is accurate.

We then met with Kim from Alleghany Floral. We eliminated her immediately because she was so whacky. Her phone rang the entire time we were there for our appointment and she kept answering it! She also couldn't remember my name and made me call her twice the day of the appointment to remind her about it! I do not want a woman like that ruining my wedding day.

Lastly we met with Marie from Ring Around A Rosey. This appointment went rather quickly because by the time I got to her I knew exactly what I wanted from meeting with all of the other florists. She seemed very polite and helpful and even put her input in on some color changes I may want to make.

Out of thsoe five I was really only interested in three. Since I've already received one of their quotes back I'm just waiting on two so then we can figure out who we're going to end up going with and put a deposit down. This is the last big vendor we need to book, well unless we end up having a videographer but thats still undecided.

Christmas

Finding a cake baker was one of the first things we did when we were back in PA. The next thing we knew it was christmas day and we were tearing open all of our presents like mad little kids. Needless to say I am very happy with how it turned out because I got everything on my list, which wasn't much but still. Here were my three larger presents:

Yes, a KitchenAid Mixer. I don't need a heavy duty mixer like this, I dont even cook that much! But I plan on trying, and I didn't know really what else to ask for. It gets hard when you get older and parents never just want to give you money, so why not ask for something you would never by yourself? I swear I plan to start baking more and will use atleast once a month to get my dads moneys worth.

Microsoft Publisher. I had a free trial of this when I was designing my Save the Dates and I really loved using it. Unfortunately, the trial ran up so I was forced to ask for it. I think its fairly easy to use and plan on using it to make my invitations, table numbers, reserved seating signs, programs and more. Can't wait to start!

Ipod. I have NEVER had an ipod before. I asked for it because we've been going to the gym lately and it would be nice to take along. I was hoping it would make me want to stay there more actually! I had to have my brother set it up and put songs on it though as I'm still in the stoneage and can't figure it out myself.

I got a couple other things including clothes, a dart board, sneakers, spice rack, new butcher knives (I think they were trying to tell me I needed to start cooking more now that I'm going to be a wife..ha) and some other odds and end things to go around the house. Overall it was a wonderful Christmas and I can not wait to go back home for the wedding!

I am also looking forward to tonight, I get to pick Jerry up at the airport at 7:30! I have missed him oh so much these past four days and can't wait till I can cuddle up next to him again :)

Bride Wars

Wonderful movie! Last night my BM Emily and I went and saw this flick. Which reminds me I never updated you guys on what was going to happen with my wedding date/her being in the BP but thats because we still dont know what we're going to do yet-I'll keep you posted, a decision should be made shortly :)

As for the movie, she said she understood why the ratings in the newspaper gave it a D while I thought it deserved a C, maybe even a B. Although some parts of the movie were slow I thought it was quite commical and enjoyed it. I love Kate Hudson, although her bangs bothered me throughout the entire movie. This is a must see for any bride!

Our Cake

Our cake will be a four tier hexagon shaped and will sit on a square mirror, although I want the mirror much bigger than the one in the picture below. I want to be able to see the entire cake going down into the mirrow when your looking at it. The icing for the top and third layer will be light yellow while the second and the fourth layer will be white. I think I'm going to ask her if the bottom layer can be tie-dyed white and yellow though, we'll see.

The top two tiers are raspberry swirl cake with raspberry filling, the third tier is yellow and chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream in between them and the fourth tier is plain white. I'm debating on changing all of this though because I dont feel its right..I dont know yet though.

The design will just be a scroll, like on the first and third tiers in the picture below but it will be in white.

There will also be a brighter yellow shade of fondant ribbon around the bottom of each tier. To finish it off we'll have a man and wife cake topper, which I have yet to find.

Cake Baker

The day after we arrived we met with a Cindy from Cindy's Let Them Eat Cake. She was very pleasant and actually gave me some great ideas to add to the cake that I hadn't thought of doing. She had quite a variety of flavors for us to try including spice, carrot, lemon, white, chocolate, red velvet and pistachio. I feel like I didn't really "ooooo" over any of the flavors though, even the fillings and frostings weren't that impressive. Her pricing was $660 which included delivery and set up, which I didn't think was bad since I had a budget of $700.

The next lady we were to meet was Linda from Linda Austin's Cakes. I had emailed the month before and set up a meeting for the 23rd. She said I could show up anytime before 5 so I wrote back that it would probably be right around four. We were running late because of the roads that day, she was an hours drive from my house, so I called her and asked if that would be okay. She replied that she closed her shop that day to make deliveries so she couldn't meet at all and asked if I could come the next day. What kind of person doesn't call to cancel their appointments?! I was furious because we had just driven all that way for no reason. Atleast I found out what type of person she was before I hired her for my wedding!

The last lady we met with was Joyce from Cakes by Joyce. She was also nice and had some good ideas, although I pretty much already knew what I wanted. She gave us a box with 6 different HUGE cupcakes in it-some with buttercream and some with fondant-to try. They were absolutely amazing, so moist and delicious. Her price for almost the same exact cake as Cindys was $430 including setup and delivery. As soon as we got in the car we immediately knew who we were going to choose. I sent her a check the next day so we officially have a baker! I'll share the finished product later!

I'm Baaacck

I am officially back. If you've been wondering where I have been I can now inform you; on vacation. Jerry and I went back to Pennsylvania on the 21st of December to spend the holidays with our families. I love going back to visit everyone buts its definately nice being back in our home. I actually am home by myself for a few days, Jerry isn't scheduled to fly in until Friday night. He stayed back to help his grandfather do some work on his apartment building. I can't wait till he gets back, I miss him already.

I managed to get quite a few wedding related checks done as well while I was back. I'll be sure to update on everything that happened later. As of right now, I'm crawling into bed because its eleven oclock and I have to be to work at eight. Goodnight!

Dying Queen, Young and Sweet, Only Twentyyyy

I died my own crinoline! In all, I think it turned out great, I honostly have no idea why I've been fretting about this the past couple of days. Oh well, its over with now. Heres the finished product.

It came out so bright, I'm so excited to wear it. I know it will look even better in natural sunlight and photographed by the pros. I was actually really nervous doing this though. I thought for sure I was going to end up with a tie dyed mess.

As I let the washer fill up with hot water and very little detergent I made the dye bath mixture of two cups hot water and one box of dye. I then added it to the washer and let it agitate for about ten minutes. White it was sitting I soaked my crinoline in the shower with hot water. After that I just added it to the washer and ran it through one wash cycle.

To take the crinoline out of the washer I put three old towels down on the floor of our laundry room (its tile). I then would set the entire crinoline down on that to straighten it back out and unwind it. I tried to just do it in the air but it was so heavy and water was getting everywhere, ha.

I ran it through two more wash cycles with the dye before one more normal wash. All the while removing it from the washer every so often. To dry I just hung it up in the washroom off the door.

Pretty blue water :)

The bottom even picked up the light blue, I was kind of hoping this would stay white though, oh well.

The whole thing was pretty easy. If I had to do it again I would take it out of the washer more. I let it run through one whole wash cycle before I took it out to untangle it and the top was pretty light compared to the bottom. Thats why I had to run it through the wash cycle two more times- to get it to even out and be dark enough, so that sucked. Other than that it was a piece of cake!

Crinoline Inspiration

I decided I needed to search for blue crinolines that other brides had dyed to see their results. I found this picture, which is exactly what I want!

The blue is so bright and perfect! I couldn't find out who this was/where it came from though so I didn't know which shade she used.

I ended up buying a box of royal blue rit dye and testing it out on another washcloth. I then re-dyed the evening blue washcloth with more powder since it originally looked like light baby blue. When the two came out, they looked almost exactly the same. In general, they both looked pretty good. They were both bright blue and there wasn't any tie-dyed spots. I think the color will come out on the crinoline a little different since their different materials but thats okay. Now that I've realized they're both great colors I'm just going to dye it evening blue since I have an extra box of that. I don't know why I was freaking out about this so much! ha

I've been so busy lately and have had no time to write a real blog entry. My mom, stepdad and brother came into town for the week of Thanksgiving. We didn't do to much while they were here. We went bowling one night, did the Budweiser brewery tour another and some shopping. We did drive down to Denver the night before Thanksgiving to pick up my dress though. Little did we know that they were going to be running on holiday hours so when we arrived at 5:04pm we soon found out they closed at 5:00 that night. I was so upset because I really wanted my mom to see me in my dress before the wedding and she was leaving early the day after Thanksgiving so now she couldn't. I ended up going back down by myself and getting it the day after Thanksgiving so now my dress is hanging in my closet! It's sooo official now and I can not express how happy I am! When I picked up my dress I also bought a crinoline too :)

Now that I own my crinoline, I just have to figure out what color to dye it. I have been debating between yellow and blue for weeks now! I really wanted to wear yellow shoes under my dress to spice it up, meaning I would want a yellow crinoline to match. After thinking about it, although I really want to wear yellow shoes I highly doubt I will. I HATE shoes. In the winter I wear flip flops because I can not stand shoes. I know I will end up taking them off right after the ceremony, therefore they would just be a waste. Having no reason to dye the crinoline yellow I was thinking then I could die it blue and have it be my something blue.

I went to the store and bought a box of Evening Blue. This color looked perfect in the swatch below. If I'm going to use blue I want it to be nice and bright which I thought was a dead on match for the shade in the picture! Well after I dyed a washcloth this color I found that this is just a light sky blue, not what I wanted. Since I wasn't sure how much dye to put in the wash for just one washcloth I kept adding more but I still wasn't getting the results I wanted.

My two other choices to dye my crinoline are Yellow and Royal Blue. Neither look anything like how I was imagining my crinoline though. I know these are just pictures but the yellow looks way to bright and the Royal Blue looks very deep. I'm debating if I should even dye it at all now. I really do not want to mess this up and will hate it if its a nasty color, I'm way to picky. I think I'm going to have to go and buy both the royal blue and yellow and do more experimenting.

Anyone else dying theirs? If you've already one it, any tips?

Last Tuesday, Masterpiece Weddings-Adventures in Wedding Planning posted the second piece on me. Its a short story about a stressor I've been having, also which I've been waiting to blog about. If you read the story you'll know I'm changing my date to June of 2009 so one of my bridesmaids can remain in the wedding. If I don't, she'll be studying abroad in New Zealand and not at the wedding, so a date change is a must. I called Julie, the coordinator at my venue, today and left her a message to call me back so we can discuss a date change. If all goes as planned, I will be a June 2009 bride!

Gown Bag

At the beginning of the month Davids Bridal called to let me know my dress was in. I hadn't planned on it getting here until atleast January so I hadn't yet bothered to look for a gown bag. After searching at my local Macy's and luggage stores with no avail I decided I would have to order one online. The one the bridal shop offered seemed very cheap, like just a think garbage bag almost, so I didn't want to buy one of them.

I ended up finding one online at ebags. It was originally $49.99 but after some googling I was able to find a coupon code for 10% off and free shipping and handling. Since I couldn't get it to work online I called them though and they applied it without any problems. I had it within a week and I only paid for regular ground shipping.

I highly recommend this bag. The one side is kind of flimsy like normal plastic but the back is made of a stronger material. Its definately big enough to hold a gown as its 60". It folds in half and even has a place for the hooks of hangers to stick out the top if wanted. I ordered mine in black but they also come in green and blue.

This past week Jerry and I finished all of the Save the Dates. I am so proud of these, it took me forever to tie all of the bows!

The hardest part was the bows. Since the cards were ready to go after I tied the ribbon on them I wanted to put them in the envelopes to store them before I sent them. Unfortunately, doing this caused the bows to smoosh. I had to take them all back out of the envelopes until the day before I was going to send them that way they looked fresh when they arrived in guests hands.

The poem on the front reads:
Our big day is fast approaching
And we can hardly wait,
So put this magnet on your fridge
And be sure to Save the Date!

I was waiting to post about these because some of my guests read my blog so I wanted to wait until they got them. Now that I know most have, here they are!

The magnet is 2 x 4 and I designed it in Microsoft Publisher.
The cardstock is 4 1/2 x 6 1/4.
The envelope is 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 which I ordered from Anchor Paper.
I ordered sheets of magnets from Oriental Trading Co they were like 8 x 11 sheets. I just attatched the sheets of my magnet design that I printed off onto a whole magnet sheet, then cut them using a normal paper cuter I bought from Michaels.
Then I just attached the magnet onto the cardstock with two photo sticker dots.
I bought a custom return address stamp off of ebay and addressed the fronts with a marker that matched from Joanns.

A couple of months ago I decided I wanted my own personal website that resembled my Save the Dates, not one of those template ones you find online. I decided to hire Michael, who made me the best website ever! He started the project in August and it was completely finished yesterday. Its designed to resemble my Save the Date which I just finished this week (I'll take pictures later and post them.)

Yesterday, Jerry and I took a ride to Mens Warehouse to check out what they offered for tuxes. I didn't plan on picking anything out yet, I mean we have months to do this so I just wanted ideas, but when we went in and sat down it was just so..easy! We walked out having all the guys dressed in under an hour!

We're allowed to make any changes we want up until 14 days before the wedding. Right now, I haven't even picked out the Bridesmaids dresses so depending on what color we end up getting for them we may need to alter somethings. I'm hoping the girls dresses will be yellow though, which is why we've went with the following.

All of them will be wearing this tux. Its a Calvin Klein one button. The shirt will not be that ugly lapel though, it'll be the normal notched kind.

The Bestman and the Groomsmen will be wearing this vest in Canary yellow. Ties will also be the same color but instead of a bow tie it will be the normal euro tie. I really want them to match the Bridesmaids which is why I chose yellow. If we end up getting green for the girls then we'll switch the vests to green.

And this is what my man will be wearing! Awww we're going to match and its going to be sooo cute :) I'm excited!

I haven't quite decided what I want for my father (Jerry's father is deceased). Currently we have him down to where yellow too, but I really want him to have a different color. Theres not a whole lot left to choose from so it will probably be either black or platinum. I was thinking maybe black with a yellow tie but who knows. I have awhile so I'm not stressing.

They ended up being $170 per tux. This includes the jacket, pants, shirt, tie, vest, suspenders, cuff links, pocket squares and shoes. Plus we signed up for 'The Perfect Fit' club, which is free, and you get $20 off each tux so really they're like $150. Also, if you buy four you get one free, so one of them is free!

Its beginning to look a lot like..Halloween!

This weekend Jerry and I started to get into the Halloween spirit. Friday night started out by baking sugar cookies. The dough was a little sticky so it made it hard to roll out but they turned out pretty good. I think I added a little to much lemon extract as they tasted a little more like that but they were still really good!

After that we then went and saw SAW V at the movie theatre. I hate to break anyones bubble but it sucked. It was a good movie but compared to the first four it was nothing. I felt like everything was predictable and even the 'scary' scenes weren't scary. Oh well...if they make another one I still plan on going to see it, but still. ha

On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch and picked pumpkins to carve. There wasn't a hole lot left to choose from but we each got a decent one. It was a little windy but other then that it was pretty nice out, thank god for that Colorado weather. Jerry was able to hold both pumpkins for the picture, unfortunately I could only hold one..ha

We had fun carving them though. They're already out on the porch for people to see! Not the greatest but good enough for amateurs. Next year I want to do an actual design, like an owl or something.

On Saturday my bridesmaid Emily and I went out dress shopping! I NEVER though I would buy a dress from Davids Bridal, I always heard bad things about them and considered them cheap, but as soon as I put this dress on I knew it was the one I'd buy that day. I know everyone says this but, the pictures do it no justice. Its kind of wrinkly so it doesn't look the greatest but I love it!

I ordered it in diamond white in a size 6-yay!

I tried on some other ones, including the Sophia Tulli and the Rina di Montella one I tried on last time but I knew those weren't me. I wanted simple elegance and I think I accomplished it well :)

My Real Ring!

After staring at the picture below and realizing how much that ring looked nothing like mine, I had to take a picture of my real ring. I have a camera that can take pictures of jewelry just fine, but I didn't have a cable for it to get the pictures off the camera to the computer. I've had to use my crappy camera to do that, and it wouldn't take the picture of the ring without ruining it. So I went to Best Buy yesterday and bought a card reader to use for the good camera.

Of course the solitare diamond isn't in it because its in my E-ring.

I'll get them both put together about a week before the wedding. I am so excited!

Yesterday, Jerry and I went down to Loveland to look at wedding rings. We were just going to look, and after looking in two stores we were getting ready to go home when we stopped at Jared-The Galleria of Jewelry. I knew I wanted a square shape of diamonds to incase my princess cut solitare e-ring. We always buy our jewelry from Kays because Jerry's cousin works there and we can use her store discount-which is huge when spending that type of money. Unfortunately, Kays didn't have anything in stock like I wanted..but Jareds had TONS to choose from. Well after being there for an hour and a half, we walked out with my wedding ring!

The picture below isn't my exact ring..but its the closest I could find. I tried to take my own picture but that didn't work out so this will have to do. Mine is almost like this-minus the band-mines just a single band with a couple of stones going down each side. Also my solitare sits up much higher since its a 1 carat.

Its exactly what I wanted and its soo shiny :) Since he spent $4,000 on my E-ring-my budget was $1,000 for my wedding ring, so it worked out perfectly as it came to like $900 some odd dollars!

Actually I have two! I was going to make my own, but my Microsoft Publisher Trial expired at the end of September, so I had to find someone to make one for me.

Both of these were made by Megan who has her own etsy shop 'Megastar Designs'. The second one I probably wont use at all, but I liked how it matched my STD's and stuff. I like the first one, but I still don't know yet. We'll see...ha

Don't mind the white boxes behind them, obviously when used that won't be there.

Grooms Gift

Yesterday, while looking at one of my favorite idea blogs, I Do{blog!} I found the perfect gift (besides a boudoir picture album) for Jerry.

Its a watch which holds a picture. His dad passed away the summer of '06 from pancreatic(or some other horrid type) of cancer. It was very sad, I've never seen a person look that sick. Anyways, I thought I'd put a picture of him and his dad in it and have something engraved in it. Although Jerry doesn't really wear a watch, I figured this would be a good sentimental item, especially if given to him on our wedding day.

My bridesmaid Emily came over last night and we managed to get ALL the magents done :) It only took us an hour and a half to.

Here's Emily putting the sheets of paper onto the actual magnets. I then took it from her and cut them all.

Heres a picture of the finished products-all almost 150 of them, on our fridge...What can I say, we love looking at ourselves. ha Hopefully we don't have any company this weekend or they'll be like what the..?

Next we'll be printing off the cardstock that will hold the magnet then tying ribbon on them all, oh fun. After that we can attatch the magnet though and get them out the door!

So last weekend Jerry and I went to Office Max and got our Save the Date designs printed. We tried to do it on photo paper but the picture came out really blurry, so we had to use regular. Its alright though since the magnet sheets I bought from Oriental Trading were thick. I got all the stuff out and I'm going to start getting all the magents made today.

I also ordered envelopes from Tom at anchorpaper and they came in last night. Their the same color yellow that I ordered my pocketfold invites in. They'll hold my save the date card which is a white micah color and the save the date magnet.

I also have to address all the envelopes, which I plan on starting today. I have to run to the craft store on my lunch break to find a pen to use to address them, then I'm going to get started. Once their addressed, they can then be stuffed!

I only needed 150 and they came in boxes of 250, which is why peanuts are filling half the box. Atleast he sent the box though, I was wondering what I was going to use to carry them all in beacuse I have no boxes whatsoever.

The only thing I have to do is print off the sheets of cardstock that the magnets are going to be attatched too, which I've alredy designged, and get the magnets together. I should have everything done by Sunday at the latest. I do have to wait for my wedding website to be finished before I can send them out though. Not sure when that will be done, but I should have an idea here soon I hope.

Condo #2 booked!

We've officially booked the second condo. This is actually the 1st one we'll be staying in-we arrive July 28th and stay for 5 nights then off to the next one for 4 more. I am sooo excited. Now that we've booked this its so real.

Although this is only a studio it seams really nice and its right in Lahaina, and on the only complex in the town thats beachfront. The best part is its only $200 per night. I wanted to feel some luxery without going broke, I think I've accomplished it.

Honeymoon Registry

The honeymoon registry is up and running! I made our registry through Just Together. Theres 18 gifts on there totalling about $3300. I dont expect everyone to buy everything-but they have options. Gifts range from $25-$140 and most are actual activities/entertainment. I only added a couple of dining options and didn't add the airfare of condo rental to it at all. I figured if its our honeymoon we should have to pay to get there and stay ourselves, not rely on guests to do that as well so they'll just be buying us excursions.

I chose Just Together for a couple of reasons though
1-You could pick your own url-I wanted it to match our wedding website url so guests wouldn't be confused so this was ideal for us!
2-You could add your own gifts-customizing prices, pictures, everything=Perfect
3-Its only a 6% fee to use and they don't add this onto the gifts-that way the guests don't have to pay it-they'll just take it out of the total in the end-although that sucks for us but oh well-we're not greedy.

The only thing I didn't like about the site was you could only have your money deposited on the 1st or 3rd Wednesday of the month-I emailed and will be having them deposit money on both dates-the 3rd Wednesday in July and the 1st Wednesday in August-That way those late buyers will be covered. So I guess they worked with me on that-but I would've rather just preferred having the money deposited a day or two before the wedding, but oh well.

Maui it is!

We booked a condo yesterday for Maui!

So I wanted to stay in the town of Lahaina-its the main town on Maui and where we'll be the most so the closer the better. Unfortunately, the rates were ridiculous compared to ten minutes north so we came to a compromise. We'll stay in Lahaina the first 5 nights-then we'll move up north and stay for 4 more nights, this allows us to do a 9 night vaca instead of just 7.

The condo we booked now is about 4 miles north of Lahaina but takes about 10-15 minutes to get there by car because theres only one, one lane road going there. ha The condo is called 'Honeymooners Dream' and its at the Kuleana. Its pretty nice, not as nice as we could've got but def. way cheaper then anything else I looked at thats groundfloor. Its only $165 per night!

Although its groundfllor, theres no beach directly in front, just ocean, but we can always drive to one. Plus there will be a beach in Lahaina so we'll have one the first 5 nights right outside our door.

This is how a honeymoon should be..hell yeah Hawaii!

Now I just have to find a condo in Lahaina I like!

Hotel Rooms=BLOCKED

I started calling around last week to get rates on hotel rooms in the area. They are much more expensive then I thought they would be-They're not really expensive in general-but more than I'd thought they'd be for the area. Anyways, I got a call from one of the hotels asking if I'd decided, or course I hadn't, but I said yes anyways and decided to end up going with them. I then proceeded to call one more place and just book it. My guests will now have to choices to stay for our wedding at discounted rates.

Choice 1-Best Western

$100/night-originally $125/night
I was able to reserve 15 rooms-Half Queen and Half King and 1 Jacuzzi suite for us wif we decide to stay here.
My guests will get a $25 discount if they want to stay here! yay :)

I swore Best Westerns were only like $60 and a little crappy-but this one looks pretty nice inside and a little more expensive so hopefully it'll be nicer then some I've seen!

Choice 2-Hampton Inn

$125 for 2 Q beds or $145 for 1 K bed
I was only able to reserve 3 Queen rooms though-thats all they had left so there will be 13 King rooms-I was kind of bummed out about this because I know some of my guests have children-but oh well, I guess they can go to Best Western if they want 2 Queen beds!

Maui Revealed

This is what I went to Barnes and Noble for today.

Yep I'm pretty sure we're going to Maui. After lots of thinking and discussing we've decided this was the best idea. We know this is a once in a lifetime vacation-Its our honeymoon. Since its so expensive we'll never be able to afford it if we don't do it now. Currently we only have 1 credit card bill (besides the necessary bills like water and electric ha) and once we have kids in a couple of years it won't even be an option. Nows the time, hopefully we'll be booked by the end of October :)

Athenaeum Hotel-New Venue?

A possible venue change may be in the near future. When Jerry and I went home last Christmas we saw this hotel right on the water, at the time we didn't know what it was called. Today I learned it was called Athenaeum Hotel.

When we first saw it we were both like DAMNNN it looked really nice and had a HUGE lawn out front so you could rent a tent and have both the ceremony and reception outside, it was perfect. Since we didn't know the name for it-and since it is in the Chataqua Institution which is like a gated community thats only open half a year-it was closed, we couldn't ask anyone about it. I wanted a venue bad so I brushed it off making up excuses why I didn't want to have it there-and continued to book the next best place.

Well today I saw it again-I think its fate. I called the number and left a message, hopefully someone calls me back tomorrow. I have to find out if its still available and their prices. Part of me wants it to be booked so I can just stick with the place we have-because I know if this place is reasonable and available-its mine. mwa ha ha :)

Not Impressed

So the toasting flutes and cake serving set I ordered came in. I'm sending both of them back. The flutes look exactly like the candle holder we already bought which is exactly what I wanted, but they looked cheap. It looked like you could just chip the silver paint right off, it was weird. The cake serving set was actually really pretty but not what I was looking for. After looking at the other two choices I liked I'm not sure if I'm going to like them anymore so I need to start looking around for different ones. This sucks, I wanted to get something done.

School started two weeks ago. I actually declared my major, Computer Science, and my minor, Business. That was some very exciting business-I can actually picture my career now! Besides school I've been working and having to cart Jerry's butt around since he can't drive now. We're selling our house so we can get one closer to CSU so he can bike ride :) That means I wont have to get up at 6:30am anymore to take him to work and stuff!

Tonight I'm going out with one of my bridesmaids, Emily. This is the first time we're hanging out since last semester so I'm very excited! I hope everyone else has a good night too!

11 Months and Day 1

11 months to go before the wedding is here! Yay! Haven't had any wedding related updates really-still waiting for the toasting flutes and cake serving set to arrive-they haven't even shipped yet :( I'm working on getting our wedding web page all set up so when thats done I'll be able to send out the STD's..which are designed but none are printed yet.

Also 1st day of school today. This is my third year so I should be a junior-but since I messed around and dropped half of my classes, technically I'm considered a sophmore credit wise. This sucks, I have to go to summer school next year in order to graduate in time...ha YEAH like I'll be able to do that when its the summer of my wedding. I messed up big time there. Besides having to get up super early everything went well-I'm at work now I'm done in 45 minutes...I'm so ready to go home 10:00 can not come soon enough.

I haven't written about my weight loss in quite sometime. I actually quit the whole WW thing, I just can't stick to diets very well, although I do believe it worked while I was sticking to it. I dont know how I did it but I'm down to 142.6 which is crazy! When I started WW in May I was 155 pounds..I feel good. Only a couple more and I'll be in the 130's!

Toasting Flutes and Cake Serving Set

I ordered a set of toasting flutes and a cake serving set off theknot this morning. I had picked out two of each that I liked but decided to go with the ones I wasn't sure about first..I figure if I get them and I dont like them I can return them for the other ones which I know I'll like.

These are the ones I ordered. I can't really tell how they'll look from the pictures so we'll just have to see. They're from the Lenox Opal Innocence collection which is why I got them, I want them to match the unity candle we ordered from this collection.

Very Stressed

Things have been so stressful lately, last Monday Jerry got in a fender bender literally ten feet outside of our driveway. The number one problem-He was driving wtihout a license (he lost it years ago to a DUI) and the neighbor kid that he hit called the police. So Jerry left the scene of the accident because he was freaked they'd take him to jail for six months, so he ended up hiding out away from the cops cops all Monday and Tuesday because we didn't know what to do. The cop just ended up giving me a ticket to give him and told him to go to court to figure out his sentence. We talked to a lawyer on Friday morniing, he said to plan on about 30 days in jail. Oh great-What am I going to do for thirty days without him!?

Now we have to sell our house-we live to far out of the city-only about 10 miles to his job-but now he's really not driving anywhere and I work in the opposite directions as him so taking him to work isn't an option. Therefore we'll be moving so he can bike ride to work. Then we'll have to sell his truck-no sence keeping it if no one will be driving it. Too bad its PAID off in November. We also decided to sell my Jeep. Its really great and everything but very expensive. I could do with less. So many things to take care of..and we start school in two weeks. Not good. I just want to relax.

New Layout

I've been wanting to change my header for quite some time now. I've been trying different layouts and stuff out for a couple of days and had one up for a little while but took it down, it was very similar to the one now-but I felt something was wrong with it. I messed around with the size and pictures and ended up loving the header..but then the blog looked dreary with it, so of course I had to spice it up to! I'm debating if I want to keep changing it around every so often, every couple of months or so. It'd be a nice little change but I kind of want it to remain the same for memories..ha Either way, I'm very happy with my new layout!

So my photog mailed out a new high res cd with all my e-pics on it and I got it like Tuesday or so. I have been sooo busy though that I've just had a chance now to put them on my computer. They are so much better, thank god! Heres just a couple of my favorites.

I've been playing around and trying to make a new header for my blog with some of these pictures but haven't been able to make anything I like yet. I sort of want something that resembles my STD but it just looks funny everytime I try something. Good thing I have tomorrow off..lots of time to mess around!

They look relatively simple, a couple sized small circle pans for the bride and a couple sized small square pans for the groom just stacked on top of each other then frosted. This would be a good way to save money too-this way we dont have to buy everyone individual deserts. I'm so excited to try this-I think I'll make a mock up closer to the date-I'll post and let you know how they turn out.

STD Magnet Mock Up

Since I have the e-pictures atleast I figured I should try to nail down how I want my STD's. I have been playing around for about a month or so now with my Save the dates. I had atleast 4 different designs I made on my own that I liked...but none of them were great. Then I found a design I liked online but it wasn't the colors I wanted so another knottie made me one that kind of looked like it. Once she gave it to me I saw how she made it and was totally shocked at how easy it was! I was able to take that design and make something thats exactly what I wanted. After about fifteen different tries I finally came up with this one and I'm very pleased with it, minus how blurry it is, which WILL be fixed. :)

This is just what the magnet will look like, I'll be printing it out on photo paper and sticking it to magnets I bought from Oriental Trading. I will then attatch the magnet onto a piece of 5x7 cardstock which I have already purchased. I'm just waiting for my wedding website to be complete so I can add it to the magnet and get them printed! So cute huh!?

Once I have the entire thing together I'll post final pictures!

So I got the cd of our engagement photos back from photographer yesterday. I was sooo excited..I pop it in..ANDDD....they're blurry..not to bad, but still not clear like they should be for the price. SO I post on the knot asking the girls if theres something wrong with them or my computer that I should fix. Well Cristin over there had me send her one so she could see it and there were TWO things wrong with my pictures. FIRST, they're in low resolution, not high, which the photographer did on purpose. SECOND, she thinks the photog didn't focus her camera properly because they were at 30 MB. She said I could get high res pictures from the photog but nothing can be done about the focus. I'm emailing my photog tonight asking about the focus and for a new cd.

The even shittier part..she normally charges $300 for Boudoir pictures and she was only making me pay $150. That was going to be a huge discount, now I dont know if I want to use her again.

Once I get my high resolution pictures then I'll post some.

I opened my email this morning and there they were! I can't wait to get the actual cd, my photographer said she's putting it in the mail tomorrow so I should have it by the end of the week!

They turned out alright...I didn't like a lot of them but there were some good ones...I just feel like there aren't alot where we're both looking at the camera and look good...ha It was soo windy that day so my hair looks like crap in a lot of them :(

Oh well..we get to have a second E-Pic photo shoot in December with our original wedding photographer so hopefully with those and these we'll have enough pictures to make a guestbook!

1 year down, another to go

We've been together for five and a half years already...only one more to go until our wedding! Exactly one year from today at this time I will be walking down the aisle. Yay!

Below is what was waiting for me as I woke up this morning from Jerry. So cute, a flower he picked from someones yard! :) Tonight we'll be going out to dinner, I believe at the Melting Pot, its going to be my first time. I have never been there and have wanted to go for awhile so maybe tonight! YUM!

STD PAPER!

Its here! I ordered the paper that I'll be using to make our Save The Dates last Friday from Invite Designer. I bought 100 sheets, each can make 2 5x7 cards so thats right around 200. I dont think I need this many, but I'll be using this paper for the inserts in my pocketfold invitations so if I have paper leftover I'll just save it for that. It was $53 with shipping and handling. I had planned on using the ebay lady like I said in a previous post for only $35 but I couldn't find her on there once I was finally ready to order it! :(

Of course I had to take pictures of it as soon as it got here this morning! Its called White Micah and its this gorgoes white shimmery paper.

This is the box it came in! Yay!

I love the look of it in this picture, its so soft yet shiny! I can't wait to use it!

Once I buy colored ink for my printer I'll make a mock up of my STD! Hopefully by next weekend or soo..? :)

Wedding Map

Who knows? Not I!

I've looked into so many options its ridiculous. I think I will have to talk to a travel agent on this one. I'm not sure which of my options are do-able and which are completely ridiculous!

I am so picky I'm not sure I'll ever be able to choose! I do NOT want anywhere thats going to be like spring break. I want a nice romantic honeymoon, not a ton of people but not completely sucluded either. Somewhere with a beach and white sand. I also have to go somewhere where you can zipline. I dont mind if I stay on the beach somewhere and have to drive an hour into the mountains to do it but it must be relatively close as I am for sure doing that!

I am really against Mexico too, I'm not sure why but anytime someone mentions anywhere in Mexico, it doesn't matter what part I just automatically reply no. I wont even listen to options about it. I think I've just heard to many spring break stories so its ruined it.

I was all for Hawaii..but now the price does seam kind of high for what I'm looking for. We'd have to do kind of crappy condo and hope guests buy us some accomodations through a honeymoon registry if I want it to be what I'm looking for.

So NEXT I heard of Bora Bora and the Maldives, well hell they're WAY out of my budget so I had to cross those off the list right away.

Lately I've been looking into Belize. It fits my budge better and you can zipline there. I'm just not sure what area I would watt to stay in, I've looked at a lot and nothing looks to enticing.

Still looking though, theres so many places out there but its so hard. I would kind of like to get on the ball and figure out where we're going so I can get some deposits down before everythings gone. Maybe tonight since FI and I both have the night off we'll take a trip to the travel agency. Good thinking me!

So last night we met with Lenette Seelmeyer from Picture This Photography. She was wonderful. We headed up to the Horsetooth Reservoir about a ten minute drive from us. We had gorgeous views, of both mountains and water, and I can not wait to get them back! We ended up trecking down a hill and back, which literally took my breath away, just to get to the water to have those pictures. It was definately worth it. We were even able to take our dogs and get some pictures with them so hopefully one of them turned out well too.

She said we'll have our pictures back by the end of the month...which doesn't seam long if you look at it like that, the end of the month, but when you look at it as..three more weeks..ha I can't wait! I better get started on making my save the date cards so when our pictures are done we can get ready to send them!

Remember, your wedding day is about two people who really love each other coming together as one. If the flowers aren't the right color, no one will notice. If the cake falls over, several years from now, it won't matter. If the dress gets a spot on it, no one will see it and even if they do, they won't think twice about it. If your DJ messes up your last name, your grandkids will have a story to pass down to their kids. If your makeup artist doesn't show up, you will make do just like you have every day prior to that. I got two phone calls last night! YEP both from my bridesmaids saying they got my cards and they're definately in! Jerry's sister Donna called first, around 4pm our time, she was VERY touched that I asked her over some of my actual friends. My other friend, Emily, was pumped, I didn't get to answer the phone but she left me a msg. that let me know she was really excited to go to Pennsylvania and be a part of my day! Now all I have to do is get him to talk to his potential groomsmen and ask them.

After searching on the internet FOREVER to find the matching cake serving set I think I've found it!

This one is the one I first found with the white handles. Then I found regular metal ones with the little vines!

I've been looking for toasting flutes and a cake serving set lately though. I think since we bought our unity candle holder in the lenox jubilee opal innocence, that I should stick with the same pattern for the toasting flutes and cake serving set. I've tried finding it and I think I've found some flutes that match the candle holder but no luck on the cake set yet. I've found two flute sets that are saying their from the opal collection, but I'm not sure which one I like better, the one on the bottom looks more like the actual candle holder I think. When I go to find the serving sets though, the handles are all in a white opal color, they dont have the vines and stuff on them...hmmm?

Narrowed it Down!

I've narrowed my choices down to four. I'm not going to choose from these four until I try them all on again..ha. Thankfully three of the four are all at the same store so I only have to go to two stores to try them on....but I do have to drive to denver, which is about an hour away. Now I'm going to be taking one of my bridesmaids with me so I have more of an opinion then my father who can't bear to say he doesn't like one just incase I do..ha

The four I'm choosing from now are: dunt dunt dunt...ha Whichever one I choose I'm hoping to order it in pure white.

Allure-Style 8326-I feel like I will end up ordering this one, but I cant get rid of the other three till I try them on again. I've tried this dress on twice, in two different stores, and felt like I could've bought it right then...My dad though..didn't seam to really like it at the time so I think thats what was holding me back. The ONLY thing I dont like about it is that its not a corset back..but it has everything else I wanted, lots of detail, a little puff..lots on the train...perfect :)

This one is Mori Lee-Style 2134. I LOVED this dress in the store..but I HATE this picture of me in it..I feel like it doesnt even fit to my body. I think I'd like it more if I would've worn one of those skirts underneath it so it looked fuller. It does have a corset back though which is exactly what I wanted and it has some detail on the train which I just had to have.

This one is Rina Di Montella-Style 1707. I love how its a puffy ball gown and all the detail on it. The only bad thing is the back is very plain and its not a corset back.

This one is the Sophia Tulli-Style 'Alexandra'. I love how it pulls to the side and the front is gorgeous and it has a corset back. The only bad thing is that the train is so plain.

Dress Shopping

So I went dress shopping all day yesterday with my poppa bear and had a blast! I went to 6 different stores, tried on atleast 30 different dresses, and came up with EIGHT favorites, you got it eight. So now I need to choose. I feel like theres atleast one thing wrong with each of them but I dont want to keep looking, I want to choose one now!

Below are 7 of the dresses I liked with me in them. Im missing the one Davids Bridal Dress I tried on-style T8612-it was the very first one I liked that I tried on but we forgot to take a picture of it!

This dress is Sophi Tolli-style 'Alexandria'. I absolutely love the front but the back is very plain so I'd have to wear a long veil-which I didn't want to do-with stuff on it to kind of spice the back up. I never though of trying on a dress that came to the side on either, I only wanted to try on b ball gowns, but I'm sooo glad I tried this on because its gorgeous!

This one is Signature-style 1311. Again, I loved the front, but the back was kind of plane again.

This dress is by Rina De Montella-I'd never heard of them before..but I loved the dress-especially the front! The back though, had nothing on it at all :( so again I'd have to wear the long veil to spice it up.

This was Mori Lee style 2134. I loved it in the store, front and back. Now that I'm looking at a picture of it though, from the front it doesn't really seam to fit my body type. I'm not sure if its because the pictures of the frong were my second time trying it on so the back wasn't laced up..or what.. I want to try it on again, but its an hour away :/

This dress is Marisa-Style 787 or 'Emily'. I really liked the front, but the back in kind of plain so again I'd be wearing a long veil, or dealing with the plainness. ha

This one is Eve of Milady. I dont know the style number but I'm not even sure if I like it..I love the design and how its a ball gown, but I felt like I liked it a lot better in the store then now that I'm at home looking at a picture of it. Maybe because I look like a goon in the picture..hmm..?

This one is Allure, style 8362. I really like it, I'm just not sure about the sash thing that goes across the front..if it wasn't for that I think I would've purchased this dress on the spot.

A Tornado and New Floors!

Its been awhile since I've posted. Nothing really too new going on. We had tornados about five miles down the road in a town called Windsor last Thusrday. It was crazy, we've never had a tornado so close to us before! We visited the site that night after everything had calmed down and it was terrible. There were tons of people everywhere trying to help clean up.

Friday we finished installing the hardwood floors throughout the house! We did our whole upstairs, the living room and hallway, two hallway closets, and both extra bedrooms! The only thing upstairs that isn't hardwood is the kitchen and guest bathroom, which we tiled ourselves as well! Other then this though...no wedding planning or anything has been done, talk of our honeymoon has come about a couple times though..we're trying to figure out where we'd like to go!

This house was completely mangled :( A lot of houses were missing their roofs and were half torn apart. The picture below shows the sign letting people know everyone was out of the job site..ha

This is a picture of the two black hawk helicopters that the governor flew in on. Pretty sweet!

These Pictures below are of the floors in our living room...I guess I didn't take any of either of the bedrooms or anything! The pictures are kind of gross..It looks like there was water droplets or something on my lens?? Hmmm..?

DIY Cardbox

Wednesday night we made our cardbox that will hold all the cards at the wedding. Its everything I wanted it to be and MORE :) We had a really good time making it too! We got all our supplies together and our Margaritas then went to town. It took about an hour or so but just because the actual top was a little tricky and I had to do it twice :( It was all trial and error though. We had a basic idea of what we were doing from a couple other websites including the blog Road to the Aisle but really we didn't follow her measurements. We just used some L-Brackets and attatched all the frames together then just put a bottom and a top on it and bam it was done! Its so pretty-The frames are white and the top is a yellow and white plaid design! It was actually the first thing for the wedding we've done together! I went home by myself and met all the vendors in March that we're booking so he hasn't really done anything so this was very nice to do it together! I actually think he's more into the idea of the wedding now that he's done something for it!

Supplies/Directions:
4 Picture Frames-I used 8x10 frames but you can do whatever you want. Believe me 8x10 was big enough!
L-Brackets-I used 16 brackets total-4 packets of 4
Screws-for the L brackets-I used #8 so they wouldn't go through the holes in the brackets and 1/2" deep ones so they didn't go through the frames
Foam Board
Pretty Fabric
Batting
Drill
Screwdriver
Stapler

Ruler
Duck Tape

First we attatched all four frames together with L Brackets-We didn't really measure where we put them, we just attatched them (two on each side of the frame) then just lined the frames up and attatched it to the other frame wherever it lined up at right! I left the glass in for this step and I think it would've been easier if the glass would've been removed but its up to you. We had to use a screwdriver instead of a drill to attatch the last frame since the drill wouldn't fit in the box.

After we had the four sides together we added four L brackets to the bottom half of the frames to make a shelf support for the foam board to sit on. For the foam board I just took a ruler and measured the space between the frames-then just cut the board to that size and dropped it in!

After the bottom was in we duck taped it to the L brackets just for a little extra support.

After we put the bottom on it was time for the top. I felt like the top was the hardest part. I first cut the top the same size as the bottom with an exacto knife, which was fine. But I needed the top to be a little smaller because with the batting and fabric it wasn't going to fit. The hard part was trimming the foam board, I tried to use the knife but that didn't work so I switched to scissors, which were a pain in the ass. They ended up working but it took forever to just trim it down a little to what I needed it to be.

We attatched four L brackets-one to each from to make a shelf for the top to sit on as well. Just like we did for the bottom but with them upside down. All in all I think it turned out pretty well! I plan on re-doing the top though..Its too wrinkly for my tastes so I want to try and smooth it out! Heres the finished product though!

So after searching around for about a week and waiting for samples, I found the perfect deal on white micah paper. Where you ask? EBAY :) Everywhere I looked, like all the paper websites, it was ATLEAST $0.45 (some where like $0.63!!) A SHEET!! All because it was a metallic paper. I wanted to go through anchorpapers again because Tom has such awesome prices..but he didn't carry that color :( He looked at the color of it and said it looked exactly like another brand of paper, stardreams in the color crystal, but that that was the ONLY color in the stardreams collection that he didn't carry! Figures! So the search began and I lucked out! I'm getting 100 sheets of 8.5 x 11 white micah cardstock for....$35!!!! WOOHOOO I found the girl on ebay by searching for white micah, but she only had a post for like 25 sheets of 5 x 7.. but I asked if she had other sizes and stuff and she did! She got back to me today with the price and I was like DONE! I plan on using these on the invitations and 100 sheets of that size will allow me to make two invitation per page for a total of 200 so that was perfect!

Oh shit..I didn't even think that I had planned on using that as the invitation..AND all the inserts! I need to let her know I need more!! Thank god I just thought of that! I'm also thinking about putting our save the dates on that color paper but I had planned on waiting to order that till like July or somewhat closer...maybe I'll save on shipping if I get it all now though..But I'd have to pay for all that paper now..and I would probably need about 100 more just for the save the dates..and about 200 or so more for the inserts..maybe even more..oh shit..I need to figure this out like NOW!!

Day Three!

So I've been on my WW diet for three days now!~ Its a little hard but I feel really motivated to stick with it because its actually kind of easy to do! I get to eat whatever I want, and everything is worth points, and I just get so many points a day. Today I went over my points by a couple, but I was under my points the two previous days so I think it kind of weighed itself out. Plus you get an extra 35 points a week that your allowed to use if you need to, because they don't let you have very many points, I'm allowed to have 23 a day, so technically I'm still in my point range! I've been drinking TONS of water though..I hate water :( Jerry and I also took our babies (buddy a lab, and mesa a corgi) on a farely long bikeride tonight to a watering hole to let them go swimming. That was about the most excercise I've had in awhile! We have a bowflex home gym..but of course I never use it, I think I might start. I just can't wait to watch all this weight fall off. I started out at 155 pounds..We'll see next Tuesday when I weigh in how much I've lost!

My unity candle holders also came into today and I decided to go with the one from the knot. I also was able to sell the one I originally bought off ebay to another knottie so that wasn't a loss of money thank god! The one from ebay just seamed sort of cheap. The stand and stuff was nice but the actual part that held the main candle was like silver painted plastic. The one from the knot is a beautiful opal color and its definitely 'the one'.

Last night Jerry and I went shopping as well. We tried to find something to wear for our engagement photos but with no luck we came home with just some clothes for summer. We did buy the stuff to make the card holder though! We were out and I realized I forgot my coupon to Michaels for 25% off..so we drove ALL the way home..okay its only like five miles but still! ha Then when we got to michaels, we realized almost everything we wanted was on sale anyways so the coupon was no good! The frames, originally $10 a piece were 40% off!! What a steal! The foam board and batting were only like $2 a piece so that wasn't even worth waisting the coupon on! I still need to get some pretty fabric, but I kind of wanted to see the box all made before I decide and we still need a lazy susan...but I didn't feel like going to Walmart.

Weight Watchers

So I signed up for weight watchers today! After a discussion on the knot the other day with all the other July 09 knotties and how some have tried weight watchers and it worked I was thinking about trying it out. Then I woke up this morning and read knottie heatherkj's blog, and what do you know, it was about how she had just re-joined WW yesterday. Crazy. I took it as a sign and started my three month membership. I'm allowed to have 23 points a day which I dont think will be too bad. I was able to stick with it today just fine, although it was a little hard adding items to the recipe page to figure out how many points my casserole I made tonight was. We'll see how it goes though.

UPS also showed up at the door around 6:30 and what do you know, it was the opal unity candle holder from the knot, they didn't even send me a notice they had shipped it yet so I def. wasn't expecting that. But it is soooo beautiful, even more beautiful then in the pictures. Its a really pretty opal color and it just shines and aww.. :) I should have the other one I ordered off of ebay tomorrow. I'm excited!

OFFICIALLY booked

Its final! I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders and that this wedding actually starting to happen! I sent in a check last Thursday to our vendor for our ceremony/reception site for $500 which was the deposit to rent the place for the day. I have to mail one more check in on June 1st for $300 and its paid for! I also mailed my poppa bear the contract for our photographer and he said he would take that to her with the $500 deposit on Thursday! There are two major things out of the way! I also booked our dj about a week or so ago. He only wanted a deposit of $125. There are three major people I have put my deposits down for! The only thing I really need now is a florist and a baker, but I don't plan on getting those booked till around December or so.

I also found a photographer around here that will be doing our engagement photos for us. We're getting them done on June 22nd (I'm pretty sure thats the day). I don't know if I'm too excited for this lady but she was the cheapest-$150. I am excited to get them done though. Then I can start on the save-the-dates. I also have to wait till knottie heatherkj has her own wedding so she can get her FI to start on our wedding website so I can put them on the save-the-dates as well. I've picked out the paper for them and I think I'm going to order it on Friday-payday-YAY! Then I can start designing those on the computer and get them started. Then once I have the picture and website I can make the layout for the magnets. Then I can ship them off, hopefully that will be right around August sometime.

I've been looking into decorations too. I picked up a couple things to decorate the baskets with that I plan on buying to hold the bubbles and birdseed but I still need some other materials. And neither of the unity candle holders I ordered have even been shipped yet so I'm waiting on those as well, hopefully they'll be here this week.

Other than that I have not been doing anything, I have so many ideas that run through my head daily..its starting to get chaotic! ha This past weekend we worked in our yard and laid some grass seed so hopefully we'll get some grass soon. Next weekend we're going to finish laying the hardwood floors that we've been working on for two weekends! Hopefully this will help take my mind off wedding planning a little bit.

Its been awhile

Its been about two weeks since my last post. I haven't really done anything wedding related latley so I didn't want to post and have nothing really to say. I did shop around and I ordered two unity candle holders that I liked. I couldn't decide between the two so I figured I'd order both and return the one I didn't like. I bought one off the knot (the one on the top) and then one off ebay (the one on the bottom). Hopefully I like the one I got off ebay better that way I can return the one from the knot because I don't think the one I got off ebay is returnable.

I also have made the pocketfolds for almost all 200 invitations. I only need like 175 I think but I'll make 200 to be safe for those unexpected last minute additions. I still haven't ordered the paper for the inside of the invitations because I want that shiny metallic paper and I'm not sure if you can emboss on that type of paper, so I have to wait and find out first.

I also get to call the ceremony/reception venue lady today and hopefully officially get her booked. We're getting our rebate checks by the 16th so I'm hoping to mail out the check by then! I also plan on mailing my dad the contract for the photographer next week and then having him take her the check and everything so she'll be officially booked too! Things are finally starting!

They're Here!

The paper for my pocketfolds came in the mail yesterday! I had been waiting all day, kept checking the door incase I had missed them, and then they finally came after I went out last night around 7:30. Damn UPS man. Anyways, the color is EXACTLY what I wanted! The perfect light yellow shade! It also came packaged really nicely too. The actual paper I had ordered specially cut came wrapped in thick brown paper then all the scraps came with it, I wouldn't exactly call them scraps though..theres enough to have like 50 extra invitations if I want plus enough for menus or table cards or whatever I choose I need them for. I just also made a mock up per knottie heatherkj's instructions and they turned out B-E-A-UTIFUL :)

The paper wrapped in the brown paper is the 200 custom cut pieces of 16 1/8 x 7 that I ordered, all the yellow paper that you can see is just the scraps! CRAZY huh! and all for only $50!

I still have to find the paper for the invitations and inserts and everything though! I also got a book of samples from renaissancewritings.com with all the colors they carry yesterday in the mail so I've chosen about fifteen that I like and I'm going hold them up to my pocketfold and decide on colors hopefully within the next few days so I can get those ordered! This is getting exciting!

Pocketfolds

I just ordered the paper for the pocketfolds of my pocketfold invitations. I'm making my own thanks to blogger heather from roadtotheaisle.blogspot.com. Her invites were absolutley gorgeous and she even provided step by step directions on how to make them.

I shopped around for paper from a couple different sites include simplypaperandenvelopes.com, anchorpaper.com, thepapermillstore.com and handmade-paper.com. I ordered samples from all of them to find the right color yellow, because I do NOT want anything to bright, I wanted something light and pastel. I ended up liking one from anchorpaper and one from simplypaperandenvelopes but it came down in the end to the price. Tom from anchorpaper told me it would only cost about $60 and that included shipping for 200 sheets of paper custom cut to 16 1/4 x 7whereas simplypaperandenvelopes told me with would cost right around $115. So I ended up ordering them from anchorpaper. I should have them sometime within the next couple of weeks! I decided to order these way in advance because I know its going to by time consuming with me at work and school from 6 am to 6 pm everyday of the week except Wednesday and Sunday I know I'm not going to want to work on them a lot so I figure I have a year to get them made, that should be enough time :)

I plan on ordering the paper for the inserts and the backing and stuff within the next couple months. I'm still deciding on colors and actually wanted to see a pocketfold in my yellow color made before I chose the other colors. I'm definitley excited to get started making them though. I guess I should probably make my save the dates first since they go out in four months ha. I dont think those will be hard though since I've already got an idea of how I want them set up. I need to start looking for photographers in my area to take our engagement photo as well so I can attatch those to the magnets for my save the dates.

DJ Nel

So I had a list of about twenty dj's and after calling all of them, and actually talking to about fifteen of them I've decided on a dj! His name is Scott Nelson of Nelson Entertainment (also known as DJ Nel) and he seams perfect! His rates are $100 per hour. Which wasn't too bad of a price compared to some of the ones I talked too. He also only requires a $100 deposit which is perfect for our budget right now. He also can do the ceremony and reception, which I haven't decided if I want a dj at the ceremony but it seams like the cheaper choice. Plus if I have him at the ceremony I can choose what type of here comes the bride I want to walk down the aisle too, where as if I were to have a pianist I'd have to listen to every song in the ceremony off the piano. It would be more elegant if it was done that way but no variety. I kind of like the violin sound of here comes the bride too (I've been downloading different versons in limewire) so he would def. be able to do that. He also seamed to really know his stuff and he was definitley very easy to get along with. I'm very excited to work with him and I think he'll make everything perfect for us! I haven't been to a wedding where he's dj'd at before but my MOH was actually a MOH in another wedding and he was the dj for that wedding so I got to have a personal reference of how good he was plus I got to see the dvd of that wedding so I kind of got to hear what he was like! He seams knowledgable and has been dj'ing since he was like a sophmore in highschool (not professionally of course) but he comes with a lot of experiance. Another crazy ccoincidence is that he's also a funeral director, and he just so happened to be at the funeral of my grandfather like ten years ago. Weird huh? But he's sending the contract in the mail this week so I can send him a check back and get him OFFICIALLY boooked.

Bad Communication

I just FINALLY got an email response back from Julie at The Grande View and she didn't even get back to all the questions I had asked her! I had called her on the 1st of April and when I hadn't hearf from her on the 3rd I emailed her (she hasnt' returned my calls before but she always seams to write back to the emails) anyways, she finally just wrote back today and only half the questions were answered. And then in the email she's like I can answer the rest but you'll have to call me, and then she asked me to call her on the 1st of May. Thats like three weeks away and everytime I call her she NEVER answers or calls me back!
And what she did answer wasn't as great as news as I hopes. I asked about prices for menus, she couldn't answer that one, I asked if cake cutting and serving would be included in the price and only the cake cutting was included. Serving the cake was $1.50 per person. I think I'll serve the damn cake myself! ha Then she said the price also only included the silverware and plates. Linens are going to cost me an extra $1.75 per person. Its already $800 to rent the place for the day plus however much per person for food! Its getting to be quite expensive! This place is actually one of the most expensive I've looked into but its just like I HAVE to have it :) She also couldn't tell me how much extra it would cost to have the reception outside, and by outside I mean having it five feet from the building doors. Hopefully she doesn't try to rack me for that! The bar prices she gave me were fairly cheap though, she said between $2-$3.50 per person..she didnt' say though if that was per hour..or what though? I guess I should remember to ask that when I call her next. Good news is if theres not an event the night before we can get in as early as thursday night or friday night to start decorating and we just have to start 'winding down' around midnight on Saturday night. In the end I think everything will be okay though. I'll just have to wait to talk to her at the beginning of May to find out food rates and then I'll be ready to book!

More Ideas

So I'm still looking into decorations and ideas for the ceremony. I've decided I also want to have water bottles at the ceremony with our monogram on the label, I looked into it and its actually a LOT cheaper then I thought it would be. I went to http://www.bottleyourbrand.com/ and its only like $1.00 for a bottle with a custom label. NICE. I got a sample in the mail today and I like the colors. As for the coasters, I still have to check into those.

I also got a sample of a fan wedding program from http://www.custom-programs.com/ and I know it's the type of program I want. I'm definitley going to make them myself but I ordered a sample from them to use sort of as a template and to get ideas on what to include on them. I def. also want to do the two toned papers as well. I really like the look of the darker one with the lighter one and the design on them as well. I'll probably emboss some sort of design on them, I like the flowers that are there so I'll probably try to do something like that, that's a LLOOOONNNGGG time away though :)

I've also been looking into invitations and save the dates too. I plan on doing both myself as well. The invitations will definitley be pocketfold invitations. I've been looking around for people that can custom cut paper as big as I need it and that have the right color paper that I want. More Flowers

I've been looking into flowers more and I've found some gorgeous arrangements for the ceremony that I like that just so happen to include lilies and a lot of greenery.

I definitly like all three of these arrangements so I'm giong to take them in when I meet with the florists, whenever I choose one that is, to find out how much something like this costs.

I've also been checking out ideas for corsages and have found a couple I've liked. I'm all about the plain look with greenery. I'm not quite sure if I would actually want to put lilies on the corsage though, I think a lily might be to big but I like all three of the flowers on the pictures below. I wanted three seperate types of corsages though, one for my mom, one for his mom, and one for all the grandmothers. I kind of wanted to do two seperate corsages for the grandmothers two, one for the real grandmothers, and one for the two step grandmas but I'm not sure if that would be to mean or not. Oh well, its my wedding. But having just one for all the grandmothers would probably be a lot cheaper and less complicated.

Decorations

So I've been looking around for decorations and accessories I'm going to want at the ceremony and reception. I'm having the ceremony outside and I know I want those white folding wooden chairs. I think that will look so pretty, especially compared to metal black ones or something. ha I'm having another knottie make me a custom aisle runner as well so I'll have that which I plan on lining with flower petals and then I plan on putting some sort of flower arrangement on the side of the chairs that are facing the aisle as well. The custom monogram the knottie is making for me to go on the aisle runner will also be attatches to the unity candle too (I love custom things ha) I definitley also plan on having those wand bubbles, which I already have ordered and just started tying bows onto, and birdseed in tulle that I want people to blow and throw after we get married. Other than that I haven't decided to much for the ceremony.

For the reception I know I want to order those straws that have the extra long flex neck so you can tie them into love knots, I know its nothing huge but its cute. I also plan on ordering customized napkins as well from the same monogram that I'm going to use on the aisle runner and unity candle. I've been shopping around for napkins and places that will print them for me but so far theres not to many choices, and I love choices. I also plan on having sparklers that my guests can light as we're getting ready to leave the reception. I've seen pictures of this before and think its BEAUTIFUL :) Although I've been checking around for sparklers and they're actually quite expensive. What do you expect though when you dont' want them to be red and blue like the ones around the 4th of July. ha I've also found some candles I like that I plan on putting somewhere. The first ones I've found were molded into the shape of cakes and I plan on putting them probably somewhere around the cake. The other ones are four seperate hearts, each that say a letter l-o-v-e and they're really cute to, although I'm not sure where I'll put them. Since I'm having the reception in a pavillion as well I plan on covering the posts with tulle and then putting some sort of flower piece in the middle of each one (I need to find a picture though, its sort of hard to imagine) and then stringing icicle lights all around the perimeter as well. I love lights, especially icicle ones :) Hopefully more ideas will come, I know I dont need to many things becuase I'll have a lot of flower arrangements and stuff but I just love decorating so I want to do more. I guess I'll just have to decide on everything else later though...hmm...

Thousands of dollars to dance the night awayy? Crazzzyyy

So I'm on a hunt for a dj. I have a list and I'm slowly making my way down it and calling everyone to find out prices and options. I seriously have to find every dj around my area and call each and everyone of them (which is like twenty), just like I was with the photographers. I'm always scared I'm going to miss out on a great deal or something ha.

I think I've underbudgeted for dj's though, I figured right around five hundred dollars for about five hours of play time. The closest I've found so far was $600 but I've had dj's that have gone up all the way to $1200. Thats a lot of money to have someone play songs for you! Good thing I still have half of the list to get ahold of!

I still have some major decisions to make though, my ceremony and reception are going to be at the same place and both are going to be outside, just different areas. So I'm not sure if I should have the dj play during the ceremony as well or if I should hire a pianoist or violinist or something. I think having a dj playing during the ceremony would look terrible (even though they'd be playing the same music its supposed to be a elegant thing and there will be a dj rockin out..ha) but I'm not sure how expensive it would be to hire someone else. Hmmm...decisions decisions.
